“The Many Uses of Ivory”
I'm sooo excited to have received a full size bar of Ivory Soap as part of being an Influenster as part of my MomVoxBox. You see I received this product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster and Ivory as a participant in the Mom VoxBox campaign.
There is so much I can say about Ivory Soap. I love that it is 99.94 % pure. No extra additives or irritants that can irritate one's skin much less my baby's skin. My son isn't super sensative to soap but I've found that this one seems to be the gentlest of them all.
I also found that there's another use that I'm going to investigate later on and that's to make home made laundry soap at a fraction of the coast of traditional laundry soap! WOW who ever thought of that was a genious.
Plus it's the only soap that actually floats. My son loves crafts and loves boats so I did something that we as kids used to do and that was to make a boat out of the Ivory Soap before we used it! :)
To do this is super simple: take 1 bar of Ivory Soap, 1 took pick, 2 sticky notes and a pen to write a message if you like, a little scotch tape and that's it.
To put this together is super easy. Just take the toothpick and put it in the center of the bar of Ivory Soap. Then take the two sticky notes after writing a message (In our case we put the USS Sylva on both sides LOL )and then put a little bit of scotch tape at bottom of the ticky notes and around the toothpick to seal it. Then just fill the bathtub and let it float! It was a lot of fun as you will be able to see from the picture! My son really enjoyed this bath and was almost like a prune when he got out as he just had so much fun playing with his floating "boat". LOL
Ivory is also very affordable. It's like $1.34 for 3 bars or $4.99 for a 10 pack at most stores like WalMart and Target.
I even suggest following Ivory on both Twitter and FB.
Here's their FB page :https://www.facebook.com/Ivory
and here's their twitter page: http://twitter.com/Ivory
Years ago I heard how Ivory Soap can be used as a stain remover for getting things like "ring around the collar" out. I was skeptical but when hubby came home last week w/ a case of "ring around the collar" I decided to give it a try! Well guess what? NO MORE "RING AROUND THE COLLAR" .
I'm really impressed with how many uses there are for Ivory Soap and how affordable it is , especially in today's economy where everyone, myself included is trying to save money.
I'm sure that once you try Ivory Soap you will find just as many uses as I have and maybe even more. If so please feel free to leave new uses here on the blog!
"Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies" A New Family Favorite
I received a Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie as part of my Mom VoxBox for being an Influenster on Influenster.com. It was complimentary for testing and review purposes as I'm a trendsetter and love trying new things and am a big influence on family, friends, people from church and even complete strangers. The Quaker soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie that came in My MomVoxBox was a Soft Oatmeal Raisin cookie. Just like my mom used to bake. Nice Soft and sooo delicious. The only problem? My 2 yr old son Vincent got a hold of it as I was unpacking my MomVoxBox and luckily I was able to grab a small nibble so I could try it in order to write this review. LOL
It was a tremendous hit so on our next trip to our local WalMart SuperCenter the next day it was added to my list. Only problem was the only flavor they had in stock was Apple Cinnamon. I figured why not just try it out. Well I'll be honest. I NEVER thought that I could find a soft cookie that could out do the Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. The Apple Cinnamon did just that! It's totally delicous. I'm glad I bought 2 boxes instead of just the one box I thought I'd buy.
Because the next day when I went to get a cookie I was left with an empty box..courtesy of my husband and 2 yr old son who is now able to get the stepstool and get to the "Cookie Closet". LOL
Here's a picture of what the box looks like . It's totally awesome and like I stated I got this complimentary from Quaker as part of my MomVoxBox from Influenster in order to test and review this product. It's definately 10 fingers up.. I surrender. This is a fabulous tasting cookie!

MY TRUVIA PRIZE PACK FROM INFLUENSTER.COM
Here's a pic of my Influenster.com Truvia Prize Pack.
As you all know I LOVE LOVE LOVE TRUVIA and have cooked and baked with it for several years and it's the only sweetener I've used in at least 1-2 years.
Well for writing my blog they picked me as one of a handful of winners to receive a Truvia Prize Pack.
What a nice surprise. This prizepack included the following:
A V-neck Black Cotton Truvia Logo T-shirt in my size (When I won Influenster was kind enough to ask my size so I'd be sure to receive the correct size..How amazing is that?)
I also received a Truvia Logo Ball Cap, a USB Flash Drive w/ the Truvia Logo, a small box of Truvia (10 ct ) along w/ a coupon to go and get a free box of Truvia 40 ct., a sheet of recipe cards (who can't use more recipes? I know I can't..need as many as I can muster up), a small tin of Chocolate Velamints (must admit I felt like a star receiving this gift box), and a Sample of Crystal Lite Pure Grape Flavor Drink Mix (gotta admit I used that up almost instantly after snapping these pics).
Well here's the pics both in and out of the box..feel free to tell me what you think?
Again this was received from me at no charge as being a part of the Influenster.com group as an Influenster. I'm a trendsetter and I receive VoxBoxes to review for my honest opinions. If you're a trendsetter who influences those in your life, friends ,family and your social media, feel free to apply at Influenster.com and click the join button. Good Luck to one and all!:)
Well My Mom VoxBox from Influenster arrived the other day! I was totally impressed (no pun intended).
Inside the box were the following:
A Single Bar of Ivory Soap.. Ivory Bar Soap is 99.44% Pure so it's clean and gentle and yes it even floats!
DenTek Comfort Clean and Fun Flosser Samples (on the back of the package was a coupon for $1 off too)
A Box of Stash Tea Superfruit Tea Sampler . It's a great box of tea flavors.
2 Samples of Nektar Sweetener (never tried this sweetener...can't wait to try it)
A Quaker Oats Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie! (My son the "Cookie Monster" got a hold of it and ate it.. no worries, I was able to get him to give me a bite as a taste test!)
A Package of Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails in a Deep Mauve..Perfect from going from daytime to nighttime..see the picture.
and as a bonus....
I also received The Original Dish Drying Mat. It's a super-absorbant microfiber mat that will protect your counters and dishes . Even Stemware and Delicate Dishes are protected. I'll have to give this is little test and report back here.
Ok so there you have it. I got my MomVoxBox from Influenster in exchange for reporting on my findings honestly. Influenster does NOT influense my opinions on any products I review on my blog.
If you're a trendsetter and have what it takes to Influense your group of friends and social network, you really should apply to become an Influenster yourself. You agree to check in the box, review products included in your box, and at a minimum do the post survey. There are "Challenges" for every Voxbox campaign that are fun and I highly recommend if you're an Influenster and have received a box to go and do them. There are bonus products and gift packs up for grabs for those who have completed and have had their challenges approved and have earned their badges. I've made many friends who are also Influensters on Influenster.com so feel free to message me for any questions!
Here's a pic of my MomVoxBox..Hope you like it!:)

"Kiss Nail Dress" the Best Stick on Nails Money Can buy.
I tried my Kiss Nail Dress stick on Fashion Nails that I received complementary in my Influenster.com Voxbox as part of their Voxbox program for trendsetters such as myself. In exchange I agreed to review them here on my blog and on their website Influenster.com.
These are soooo cute. I received the leopard print which is totally adorable. I applied these the day I received them. And they really were very easy to apply. They lasted 9 days which really surprised me as most of my nail stickers lasted about 3-4 days.
One thing I will add these stickers in the box that are included are NOT just for your fingers but ALSO your TOES as well. Now you can have matching finger and Toe Nails in a wonderful Kiss Nail Dress Stick-On. Easy to apply. They say they have a built-in Top Coat which is true but I've found by adding an EXTRA layer of protection top coat that they'll last a bit longer.
According to Influenster.com's Product page "Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in." But again if you want them to last a bit longer add a clear top coat.
These can be found at Walmart, CVS and Walgreens for about $6.99 per package .
As for your toes there ae 28 ashion strips in here just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit every time.
Another great thing.. These do come off in seconds WITHOUT NAIL POLISH REMOVER!
These were so awesome that I included this product in my Easter Baskets that I gave to my Mom and Mother In Law Yesterday for Easter. Of course I bought the Jaguar Pattern #KDS11 56709 as we live in the Jacksonville, FL Metro Area and as such we're "ALL IN" for the JACKSONVILLE JAGUAR FOOTBALL TEAM. Figure we can all go to the game in matching nails and toenails!
These were very easy to apply. Only two things I'll add. #1- Make sure your nails are totally clean before applying and #2- add a top coat to make them last a bit longer. Adding a top coat really made them last so much longer.
Other then that these are fantastic and come in a huge array of patterns that are easy and fun to use. It's almost as if Nail polishes/strips are the new lipstick. :) They come in assorted paterns and colors, they're easy to apply and best of all? NO DRYING TIME! Just put on and go.. That is unless like me you decide to put on a top coat. I just went out and also bought a pink zebra print. YES these are THAT CUTE!!! Best of all they come in 14 different sizes so that you can pick the size that's just right for your nails. Before finding the Kiss Nail Dress stick on nails , I was using the Sally Hansen Nails and then I was using the Broadway Nails. Between the Broadway Nails which I originally learned of through my #HolidayVoxBox through the Influenster Program at Influenster.com (and also got to try complimentary), And the Kiss Nail Dress Nails both from the same company I might add, I really do prefer the Kiss Nail Dress. The reason? They come in 14 assorted sizes so you don't have to trim to make these fit.
I've found these at my local CVS for $8 per pack and they're also available at my local Walmart Though prices can vary by store. I also found them at Walgreens for $6.99 per package and online at Amazon.com for $7.00 per pack. The Broadway Impress Nail kits I've found on amazon for $13.50 but that's for a 2pack so if you divide by 2 then each pack is $6.50 a bit less then these Kiss Nail Dress kits. However in my honest opinion the Kiss Nail Dress Stick on Nails do give you 14 different sizes and not just a one size fits all. I really LOVE both and I do keep my nails short so I'll be using both of these. Also The Kiss Nail Dress Stick On Nails can be used for BOTH TOES AND FINGERS! The Broadway nails can't.

again this was given to me complementary as part of Influenster.com's VoxBox program in their Love Voxbox.
